Broadband balsam for problem skin
CBD Balm is a 100% natural broadband cosmetic that has been specifically developed for people with highly sensitive skin. With its extremely high cannabidiol (CBD) content (3%), in combination with other outstanding natural substances such as coconut oil, shea and cocoa butter, grape seed oil and Madagascar vanilla oil, it is unrivalled as a skin care product for people with all kinds of challenges with their skin.
For many years now, cannabis has been viewed in herbal medicine is an altogether efficacious source of treatment for many different health problems. Skin conditions, too, can be treated highly effectively by taking CBD with the support of a doctor. These can range from reddening of the skin, acne and rosacea, all the way to psoriasis and dermatitis. Research over many years has repeatedly shown that cannabidiol (CBD), a substance obtained from the cannabis plant, can help in dealing with numerous challenges of the skin.
It can always be generally recommended to take CBD as a food supplement, and in the case of problems with the skin to apply it externally as well. As highly concentrated CBD Balm does not first need to be absorbed by the blood stream but is applied directly to the skin instead, it acts precisely where it is needed most – namely on the problem zones, wherever on the body these may be. The powerful, highly concentrated formula is absorbed very quickly by the skin, where it immediately stimulates the cannabinoid receptors located there and so rapidly supports the body’s own natural repair mechanisms. As a result, CBD Balm acts directly on the causes, rather than only superficially treating the symptoms.
Take the problem of acne, for example. Acne is one of the oldest known skin conditions and most frequently affects young people in adolescence. However, it is a problem that occurs in many adults, too. The unsightly spots and pimples on the skin result from the excessive production of sebum by the pores, combined with inflammatory changes to the skin.
Only recently, a further independent study has reaffirmed the fact that thanks to its inhibiting effect, CBD is also a perfect supplement to other healing methods for treating this condition. The reason is that CBD regulates the excessive sebum production. CBD also has an anti-inflammatory and antibacterial effect, and inhibits the growth of the sebocytes (sebum cells).
The reduced sebum production allows the over-greasy skin to calm down and then focus its attention on the actual healing process. The additional beneficial substances contained in our CBD Balm, such as coconut oil, grape seed oil, Madagascar vanilla oil and the shea and cocoa butter also sooth the skin and keep it supple.
When applied externally as an additional supplement, CBD can also achieve sensational successes with the skin condition psoriasis. Psoriasis was officially recognised by the World Health Organisation (WHO) in 2014 as a serious non-infectious disease. It is in fact one of the commonest skin diseases of all, with around two million sufferers living in Germany alone.
Psoriasis is an inflammatory, non-communicable, i.e. non-infectious, disease. It manifests itself above all in the form of reddish, scaly patches of skin, which may also be itchy. These skin changes are caused by excessive proliferation (i.e. rapid or uncontrolled growth of the skin tissue) of the keratinocytes (specialised cells of the human epidermis). The reason is that these cells divide up to eight times faster than the keratinocytes of healthy skin. So renewal of the epidermis, which normally takes around four weeks, is shortened to just a few days. However, many of the newly created keratinocytes are not yet fully differentiated, so the ordered structure of the epidermis layers is disturbed. As consequence, shiny, silvery-white scales form on the inflamed and reddened areas of skin.
As our anti-inflammatory CBD Balm penetrates deep into the skin, it is able to influence the cannabinoid receptors in the skin so that they inhibit the proliferation of the keratinocytes. This has been impressively demonstrated in several in vitro studies. The unique combination of active substances contained in CBD Balm additionally reinforces the structure and defence mechanisms of the skin, which can likewise significantly alleviate the psoriasis symptoms.
Supporting the natural defence mechanisms of the skin is also of huge importance in the case of skin diseases such as rosacea. Rosacea, sometimes also referred to as couperose, is a chronic, inflammatory condition of the skin, which today affects some four million people in Germany. It usually occurs in the area of the cheeks, nose, chin and forehead. The skin is reddened, and enlarged blood vessels are the first signs of rosacea. Papules, pimples and proliferating connective tissue can also occur.
The skin of people affected by rosacea is extremely sensitive and irritable. It often reacts highly sensitively to the application of skin care products, cosmetics and medication. Because of the localisation in the face, rosacea can severely impair the quality of life of the people who suffer from it.
Even today, there is still no known cure for rosacea. CBD can unfortunately not cure it either. However, the healing effects of CBD have been known to dermatology for a long time, so CBD can also be highly efficacious in the treatment of rosacea as it significantly reduces the redness at the places affected and so enormously improves the quality of life. Additionally, especially in combination with coconut oil and grape seed oil, CBD has a strongly inflammation-inhibiting effect.
The strongly anti-inflammatory effect of CBD and the other active substances in CBD Balm can also help in quickly fighting off the dreaded cold sores. Is there anyone who hasn’t experienced that sinking feeling when herpes blisters first announce their forthcoming appearance, and the affected sites on the skin become tense, irritated and itchy. And when the often painful herpes blisters do then form, all you want is to be rid of them again as quickly as possible.
This is where the antiviral and anti-inflammatory properties of CBD can offer highly valuable help. The thing to do is, at the first signs of an attack, to apply CBD Balm generously to the affected area. Then repeat this three times a day until the symptoms disappear again.
Nowadays, the list of different challenges for the skin is very long. CBD can make a huge contribution to dramatically shortening them, no matter whether it is a case of dermatitis, lupus, eczema, insect stings, or any of the other problems outlined above. Only recently, a further study was published in the medical journal “Experimental Dermatology”, stating that a possible therapeutic effect of CBD on the human skin had been demonstrated.
Our CBD Balm comes in a 30 ml glass jar and contains 3% (900 mg) cannabidiol (CBD). This is obtained from the Cannabis sativa L. plant using the supercritical CO2 extraction method. This method is extremely gentle and also preserves all the other cannabinoids, terpenes and nutrients. By further enriching the formulation with other skin-care oils and wonderful substances, CBD Balm offers you a unique product that will give great pleasure to your skin.
